DAD Studios and Galleries
At Dagaocun, artists have transformed old factories and workshops, converting them into studio and exhibition spaces. The “Art District” is a complex arena for exchange and interaction in contemporary art. F rom the very start, art districts benefited from the approval and support of local governments. Following in this tradition, the local Tongzhou District Government and the arts community have established directions for the development of Tongzhou's cultural image. Dagaocun Art District has thus become a permanent cultural site, guaranteeing its long-term prospects. At the same time, it has received the leadership and advice of art critics Wu Hong, Yang Wei and Zhang Chaohui, not to mention Li Xiaoke's continuous and invaluable suggestions. Li's Creation Museum became the first museum to be established here, providing a 2000 square metre exhibition space, making it east Beijing's biggest gallery for the display of contemporary art.
Although remaining rental spaces are limited, there are still opportunities for short or long term studio/gallery rental. Please contact us for the latest rates and further details. |
